A FEW PICS FROM AROUND THAILAND

planet-x in touring mode on the road to burma

Well, Planet-X and I managed to find our way out of Bangkok at long last. It was a noisy and hectic 130 KMS yesterday afternoon as I made my way to the tranquility of a riverside guesthouse on the road to Burma. Planet-X is now in touring mode. With a 230 gram titanium rack and a pair of small front panniers slung on the back I can carry all I need for a lightweight spin around a tropical land with well surfaced roads. I strikes me as slightly disturbing that a country that is still considered to be developing has better quality roads than those of the UK, one of the planets largest economies, seems a tad topsy-turvy to me, but heigh-ho.

Anyway, I have a little work to be getting along with and in the pursuit of that I have been going through some photos. I meant to put these pictures on my blog when I last left Thailand a couple of months back, a little late perhaps but here are some observations on local life as I wandered around with my camera.

    • Yes, been playing with black and white a lot. I like black and white, sometimes I head out with my camera and things just need to be in B&W. Sometimes the mood, sometimes just the poor light conditions. As you have observed I am exploring it at present, most of my post processing is in Aperture. I tried Nik Silver Effects recently, very good but I came over all tight when it came to paying for it.
      Cheers
