River Deep Mountain High
Alas – or perhaps a blesed relief to you dear reader – we at the Osmosno office have little time for the written word for this entry.
Over the past week or so we have been following a rough dusty dirt track of a road that has led us up hill and down dale as we have crossed a relentless series of high passes and deep valleys. From a pass of over four thousand metres (13,000′) we would bounce for hours down a dusty track to beautiful river of pristine turquoise water, across a simple bridge, and then begin the day long two thousand vertical meter climb to cross into the next valley and begin the prosess again. The ride has been through a most beautiful land populated by open friendly folk.
We have two more passes to cross now before the tourist town of Cusco which we believe has an abundance of beer and pizza where we can spend several days concentrating on replacing the six kilos (13lbs) we have each managed to leave up in the mountains somewhere.
’till Cusco, toodle pip.
